HCM partnering with local farms is an effective way to support the local community. We spoke with Danielle from Might Gnome Market Garden, “It's been pretty transformative for our garden working with HCM. It genuinely has been one of the best working relationships we've had.” Working with HCM allows farmers to provide food relief which can be hard to do for small-scale farms. “The ability to provide food for hunger relief has been such a step in the direction we wanted to head. We are very grateful for that opportunity.” Local foods have easy access to high nutritional value, and people who visit our food pantry deserve to have foods that support healthy bodies and minds.
At our organization, we take pride in ensuring that there are no loopholes. We understand the importance of supporting our partners and ensuring that they receive the best possible compensation for their hard work. That's why we ensure that they are fully reimbursed with wholesale pricing. This reimbursement allows us to provide food to the pantry, which is an important source of food for many people in our community. Knowing that we can contribute towards this effort is a source of great pride for us.
